Profile: Robb Carr

Earlier this year, we began a new series that seeks to highlight the voices of pastors and leaders on the front lines who are committed to the task of shepherding churches and developing future pastoral leaders. If you missed the first installment, you can access it here the second installment is here.

Pictured here is Pastor Robert Carr and family, with Mickey Mallory of Rocky Mountain Conference (RMC) and Ivan Williams. Pastor Carr is one of the newest members of the RMC team. He has served as a Lutheran pastor for several years before he studied his way into conviction of the Advent message.

On his journey into the Adventist Church, Robb read Norm Gulley’s 4-volume systematic theology; twice. His story is a reminder of the power of faith over fear as he and his family practically lost everything when he resigned from his previous pastoral assignment to follow what he believed God had placed on his heart. Listen as he shares his compelling story.

Robb’s charge to us is an echo from the word of God. “Do not fear.” It’s such a timely reminder for all of us in this moment in time. Remember, It was Ellen White who said, “We have nothing to fear for the future, except as we shall forget the way the Lord has led us, and His teaching in our past history.” Just as the Lord has led our dear brother Robb, God will continue to lead each and every one of us.
