A Sacred Holiday Prayer

O God of Light, whose love unceasing flows,
In this sacred season, with hearts reposed.
We bow before Your manger-throne so small,
Humbled by Christ, the Shepherd of us all.

Grant us, O Lord, hearts tender and wide,
To nurture the flock You’ve placed by our side.
For those who wander, give patience to find,
The lost and the weary, the restless in mind.

Give us the courage to break daily bread,
With souls who are hungry for hope to be fed.
Let sermons be lamps that brighten the way,
Kindling Your truth in hearts gone astray.

When sorrow strikes, may we be strong and near,
A refuge of comfort, wiping each tear.
In moments of joy, may we dance and delight,
Sharing in laughter that warms winter’s night.

May our words, Lord, be gentle to heal,
Touching with grace where wounds are concealed.
And may our prayers be both silent and spoken,
Binding the token, the hurting, the broken.

In times of doubt, may we faithfully lead,
Rooted in love, where Your Spirit does plead.
When burdens grow heavy, our strength running thin,
Remind us, dear Jesus, You bear them within.

Let this season renew our pastoral call,
To serve with humility, and grace toward all.
Bless our ministry, Lord, in word and in deed,
That we might reflect Your compassion and creed.

And as we adore the Savior today,
Fill us with wonder, as we follow your Way.
With joy and with peace, with hearts ever true,
We offer our lives as a prayer back to You.

Amen.
